if you know me (and my family) we are big believers in rescuing animals All four of my current beasts are from rescues, and over the years my home has been filled with them
The SPCA has brought us some of our favourites including one of my childhood bests - Pepper We have also had a number of cats, among them including Hawk and Raven
And of course- Taco If you don't know who Taco was, she was the cat my dad always wanted but happened to come in the form of a chihuahua mix Her previous owners had given her up because she kept running away But once she came home with mom and dad...well the rest was history She sat with mom, perched on their chair as her protector, kept her company and watched the world happen surrounded with love
Taco had a special place in all our hearts In her head she was as big as her cousins...mighty in personality if not size
The SPCA is doing a big push for donations - so I'm hoping on the push and asking for donations in honour of all rescues we had had - but especially Taco
If you have a toonie, a twenty or a multiple of either- please donate If you can't- pls make sure you go pet a dog (or cat or bunny or any animal) because the love from any animal always helps make it a better day
